My mom (88) has been here for 5 days. I find the level of care and attention by all staff (nurse aides, nutritionists, Physical and respiratory therapists, nurses and doctors and even housekeeping) to be great. They are meeting all our needs, caring, and responsive. We are NOT experiencing the problems others seem to be having with this facility. We will not hesitate to come back if the need arises. Thanks for helping mom get well.
I was visiting a friend in emergency yesterday and I was met with the most helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with at a hospital with one exception. The young lady at the outside desk was very nice but she was getting yelled at by the wife of a man being brought by ambulance. Instead of that lady just understanding that the wife was acting Rudely because of her situation she was rude right back. I know it's hard to deal with people when they are like that but it's always compassion that wins the day.... I think she needs addition training and maybe some system to allow staff to release stress and smile on short breaks to redirect their attention and restore a right attitude. The other staff in the room were amazingly sweet, upbeat, helpful and comforting. There was a Male volunteer that I wanted to hug to pieces for his precious demeanor. We need more people like him with a servants heart. We all need to be servants. If everyone wasn't out for themselves and instead had an outward servant focus we would all get better service everywhere and we wouldn't get so bent put of shape when things weren't perfect. Thanks amazing staff!
Well, I got in right away, and a doctor looked at me pretty quick. All he did was look at my ear and refer me to an ENT who did the real work. But that didn't stop them from charging me $1,000+. Seriously. And that's with "insurance". So 5 stars for being quick about it, 1 star for pricing, 3 stars average? Is that fair?
It is a hospital so it seems some people are expecting concierge service when they write their negative reviews. Getting medical attention is not a first come first thing, priorities are the concern. Having said this, I have been here quite a few times for check-ups, therapy and most times I get in at the time I am scheduled, though I do not have any experience with their emergency rooms. The staff is friendly and very polite.
My son has been in and out of this hospital several times over a year now and has had excellent care. I find the workers and the staff people very nice and helpful. he is there today again. I live in Ohio. Thank you everyone!
They are helping my Aunt tremendously, who had just had a stroke . The nurses in the ICU and on the fourth floor were always smiling and in a good mood which helps the patients heal.
I can't tell you how amazing this place is. Our procedure was smooth and we were discharged very quickly. Dr. Moon was fantastic and I can't say enough good things. Thanks for all you do.
If you don't know where you're going, don't worry ... someone on staff will escort you. When I arrived, there was someone there to meet me and when I was finished, I was led back to the main entrance. Talk about door-to-door service! More places need to do this.
The staff was great when I was sent to the emergency department. I could not breathe and they were able to stabilize me until I could be transferred. It is never fun or a good time to go to the hospital but the staff was very attentive and made all the efforts possible to help me in such a time of need.

was taken in to St. Elizabeth because of a vehicle accident. They took great care of me and my family. the surgeon even prayed for me.
I am so impressed with the staff at St. E's. My sister was admitted late last night and I've pretty much spent 24 hours with her and I am surprised how many of the staff went out of their way. One nurse brought her own personal phone charger in for my sister to use and another nurse came in to help my sister with a c-pap machine that she had at home. It wasn't even the reason she was in here but she showed her how to use it. I have a feeling your only hearing from the negative which is ashame because there's so much positive.
Only been admitted to a hospital once in my life. Long story short, at 48 thought I was having a heart attack, wife drove me straight to ER. Immediately taken back and evaluated with heart ruled out. Next concern was stroke so had CT scan that showed no bleeding. An older neurologist was consulted who took one look and told my wife it was a "complex migraine" and I would be back to normal in 24 hours. Placed in ICU, monitored and was perfectly normal when I woke up. Have had my son in ER twice. Top notch care and attention. Wife just had colon surgery here. Private room, I stayed with her at night and could not even hear the nurses in the hall talking. Very relaxing. Nurses are all different but most very attentive and explained every detail of her care. April (I will omit last name) should be nurse of the year. Maybe the best bedside manner and communication I've ever seen and I stayed with my mother in a different hospital for two months, day & night.
